About Kane

COURTESY POST! This wonderful and beautiful boy is KANE and he's a pedigree German Shepherd who just turned 4 years old and is 65 pounds (his pics make him look bigger) He's truly a great dog with a beautiful tan and black coat and eyes that show you how smart he is. His family adopted him as a puppy and have given him love and excellent training. They have a 14 year old daughter who Kane absolutely adores but they've recently had a baby and as much as they love him they think he deserves a home that can give him more time, activity and attention. They live in Kings Park (Long Island) and have reached out to Long Road home and asked us to help find Kane a great forever home. Here's some more info on Kane: * Very friendly and loves everyone he meets especially if they like to throw tennis balls! * Gets along great with other dogs. He's currently living with an older Lab who has less energy and doesn't engage with play as much as Kane would like * Super smart and knows all his basic commands * Very obedient and listens well to instructions * Medium energy - he LOVES to play in the backyard and once he gets his energy out he'll relax and snooze the day away * He's an athlete with a great demeanor - no aggression at all * Loves playing in the backyard and could use some refresher training on leash walking in the neighborhood * We have so many videos to share with you and you'll see how beautiful and how he loves to play! We think Kane would thrive with a loving and active family who are familiar with Shepherds and understand they flourish with leadership, guidance and a nurturing home. GSDs are loving and loyal family members and their primary goal is to please their owners. They are super smart so give them a job....and they will get it done!! Kane will absolutely love a fully fenced yard and a doggie sibling but would be fine as a solo pup if he has engaged and active owners. He's healthy, up to date on all his vaccinations, neutered, totally housebroken and crate trained. All he needs is for his new family to find him! He's living on Long Island so reach out to Long Road Home Rescue ([email protected] or 516-459-3509) to get lots more info on this amazing boy and make plans to go meet him today! He's waiting to impress you!
