About Marlo

MEET MARLO! A tiny, 10 year old Yorkie weighing approximately 5 lbs, with a big personality! Despite his age, he's playful, energetic, affectionate, and curious. He enjoys toys, outdoor walks, sunbathing, treats, and companionship. He's intelligent and understands commands including sit, lay down, in the bed, inside, and outside. He is not aggressive and has no known biting history. IDEAL HOME Marlo would thrive in a calm, stable home with a patient, attentive owner experienced with senior dogs, separation anxiety, and potty management. POTTY HABITS & BEHAVIOR Marlo is crate/house-trained to puppy pads but prefers outdoor walks. He has ongoing marking challenges and currently wears diapers to manage accidents. He experiences separation anxiety, including barking or crying when left alone or at night, and occasionally mounts soft bedding. Neutering should help reduce marking and mounting. OTHER PETS & CHILDREN Marlo has never lived with other pets or children and has limited interaction with either. A home without other pets or young children is preferred. HEALTH & SENIOR CARE Marlo has periodontal disease and requires prompt dental treatment. His veterinarian also observed elevated pressure in his left eye, which could indicate early glaucoma; however, he has not been diagnosed. Continued monitoring is recommended. His recent bloodwork and urinalysis were normal, and all required vaccinations are up to date. Neutering is planned prior to adoption, and veterinary records will be provided. He is generally cooperative during bathing and grooming. REHOMING FEE - $600 The fee helps offset completed veterinary expenses, including neutering, vaccinations, bloodwork, and urinalysis. A $300 reimbursement will be provided upon proof of completed dental treatment, preferably through a paid veterinary invoice. Marlo's belongings and supplies can accompany him. A FINAL NOTE Marlo needs a patient, committed owner prepared to accommodate his behavioral challenges, medical needs, and daily care. My goal is to find him a stable, loving, permanent home.
