About Yogi

Meet Yogi - 9 Years Young, 70 lbs of Soft Ridgeback Warmth! He has a very typical ridgeback personality: full of stoicism, professional napper, sunbeam seeker, and loyal shadow. Yogi is a gentle giant offering the best of many worlds. Indoors, he's a low-maintenance, world-class couch potato who loves curling up on soft beds and lounging near his humans. He's fully house-trained, quiet, and gives only a bark or soft cry to let you know it's time for food, a bathroom break, or just needs some of your love. Outdoors, his fun hound nose comes alive! He enjoys daily walks and tracking scent trails. Because of his drive to chase squirrels and groundhogs, he'd love a fenced yard for off-leash play and should stay on a leash during walks (where he can occasionally pull firmly when on a scent). Kids & Dogs: Great with kids, gentle, and fine with other dogs. Health: Neutered, house-trained, good health, vet-checked (benign senior skin/soft-tissue spots; healthy & happy!). It will take him a few weeks to really feel at home in a new place (he'll have a little anxiety) and he will want you close by especially at first. You're comforting him will help him accept and understand the changes around him as he settles into a new home. He will quickly love his person or people who care for him whoever that may become. Story: Yogi was my fathers dog until a month ago, his only loving owner since puppyhood. He needs a new cozy home due to his owner's declining health.
