About Poppy

Meet Poppy! Poppy's journey hasn't been an easy one. She was found wandering the streets alone and frightened, clearly having been through more than any dog should. Today, Poppy is a gentle, sweet little pup who loves nothing more than being close to her people. Give her a lap to curl up on and she'll happily claim it as her throne. After all, Poppy is a princess, and she certainly knows it! She enjoys a good stroll around the neighborhood, taking her time inspecting every patch of grass along the way. She's the kind of girl who appreciates the little things in life: a cozy spot, a loving cuddle, a tasty treat, and someone to share her day with. Poppy is also incredibly smart and loves showing off what she knows. At the shelter, she has learned to give paw and absolutely enjoys the praise and attention she gets for it. She also loves people watching, treats (duh!), and sleeping in a soft bed surrounded by blankets and toys. Poppy has also had DNA testing done! She is 50% Shih Tzu, 26% Pug, 17% Yorkshire Terrier, and 7% Bichon Frise. Poppy is looking for a loving home where she can enjoy all the little things that make life wonderful.
