About Chester

Chester is a proud, stately, gentleman. He arrived at our shelter as a stray. Underweight and with a poor coat, he has now eaten his way to good health and energy. He is about 85 pounds. He tested positive for heartworms but showed no symptoms. He is in treatment and doing fine. Chester is about 7-8 years old and has a lot of life left in him. He enjoys strolling around our play yard and greeting the other dogs in their kennels. He enjoys walking about with a similarly aged female GSD in our care. Chesters's adoption fee will cover his neuter surgery if done locally. If not done locally, a part of his fee can be applied to surgery at the clinic of your choice. If you are looking for a loving, constant, content companion, Chester is your man. His own safe space to wander about, a warm bed, and some loving human company is what Chester needs to make his remaining years happy ones. Come meet this beautiful man!
