About Odysseus

Meet Odysseus! Odysseus is a 7-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix weighing around 67 pounds, and this handsome boy has a heart every bit as big as his smile. Odysseus has discovered the absolute best things in life: zoomies, couch cuddles, car rides, chew toys, tennis balls, and being wherever his people are. His favorite place is right beside his humans. Sit down, and he's ready to cuddle. Stop petting him, and you may receive a gentle karate chop reminding you that the petting session is NOT over. He's also doing great with the other dogs in his foster home and has some incredibly sweet moments with his canine friends. Sometimes he'll simply walk up and give another dog a big face lick because he genuinely enjoys their company. Odysseus can be a little controlling with other dogs, and when everyone gets excited, his play can become intense. Because of that, he'll do best with patient introductions and older, calmer, even-tempered dogs who aren't looking to constantly wrestle or amp things up. He has come such a long way, and he'll need a family willing to continue giving him time and guidance as he settles in. And one very important note: Odysseus needs a home without cats. This sweet senior boy has so much love to give. He's playful, affectionate, loyal, and learning every day that life can be pretty wonderful.
