This is an incredibly difficult post for me to make, but I am looking for the right home for my two German Shepherds, Ace and Archie. After now having six shoulder surgeries, I have unfortunately come to realize that I am no longer physically able to provide them with what they need. This decision is being made entirely out of love for them. I want them to have a life where their physical and mental needs can be prioritized and where they have someone able to give them the time and care they need. They are a bonded father/son pair who have been together since Archie was born so they absolutely must stay together. I will not separate them. Ace is 6 years old. He is incredibly loyal, affectionate, cuddly, and has a big personality. He loves his people and wants to be close to them. I also want to be completely transparent that Ace needs an experienced owner who is willing to continue working with him on manners and behavior. He gets excited easily, does jump, and will do best with structure, consistency, and someone confident handling a German Shepherd. Archie is 5 years old and is the more mellow, gentle one of the two. He can be slower to trust new people, but once he feels safe and comfortable, he is incredibly devoted. Their ideal home would have German Shepherd experience, someone willing and able to provide structure and continued training, plenty of time for exercise and mental stimulation, and preferably a yard. They will go to their new home with their belongings, including toys, leashes, food, treats, and other items to help make their transition as comfortable as possible. There is a rehoming fee for them to ensure they are going to a serious, responsible home.
