MEET LAURA - THE RETIRED MOMMA WHO HAS OFFICIALLY ENTERED HER SPOILED GIRL ERA! Laura is a 3-4-year-old, approximately 66-pound American Bulldog mix who has officially retired from her momma duties-and she is ready for someone to finally make HER the baby. And after everything she's done, she has absolutely earned it. Laura is incredibly loving and affectionate and forms bonds with her people quickly. Give her a few days and she'll be coming right over to ask for pets and attention, sometimes accompanied by the most adorable little 'Wookiee' noises. Her love language? Cozy beds Stuffies Ear scratches Chew toys Tug-of-war Car rides Walks Being with her people Laura LOVES her bed and her stuffies and is perfectly happy enjoying the finer things in life. She enjoys walks and adventures, but she's also a girl who understands the importance of getting back home to her favorite bed. And this girl is surprisingly versatile! She has already gone out for outdoor dining with friends and did fantastic. She loves car rides and enjoys getting out and about with her people. In the home, Laura is a DREAM. She is 100% house-trained AND crate-trained, settles nicely, and is reliable indoors. She isn't bothered by household noises-including the dreaded robot vacuum. She does take her home security job VERY seriously, though. If someone comes to the door or a maintenance worker shows up, Laura has an impressive bark that lets everyone know: 'Don't worry, everybody. I have this handled.' Laura is also a very enthusiastic eater who genuinely loves her food, but she's a good girl who self-regulates and doesn't overeat her kibble. She knows basic commands like sit and down, although she can get distracted because, well'| sometimes there are MUCH more important things happening. Continuing her training in her forever home will help her keep building those skills. As for other dogs, Laura hasn't had a direct face-to-face dog introduction in her current foster home yet. She did bark at a dog across the street during a walk, so proper introductions will be important. At the rescue she does not like for any dogs to get in her face. She does participate in group play. She's also a little quirky around men and may need some time to warm up, and she's still a little unsure around kids. But give Laura a little patience and a lot of love, and you'll get to see the affectionate, silly, loyal girl her fosters have come to adore.
