About Sam (foster or adopt!)

Meet Sam! Sam is about 4.5 years old and is weighing in at around 87lbs, but he probably could stand to gain a couple more. Sam's owner sadly passed away and he is looking for a foster or adoptive home! Sam is medium energy and likes to play and rest. He walks well on leash and is responsive to his skills on walks. He does well when he sees people and dogs on walks. He is very smart and enjoys learning new things! He is very cuddly, and would prefer to cuddle up to you, but if you ask him to give you some space, he will lay a few feet from you. He loves toys, especially his hog squeaky toy! He is guaranteed to put a smile on your face when he plays! While we do not know his history with other animals, Sam has been to a pet supply store for a bath and to the vet and he whined and wagged his tail excitedly when he saw other dogs! He has done very well with people. His cat compatibility is unknown. Sam is looking for a new start in life after his world has gotten flipped upside down.
