About Dusty Boots

I, sadly, need to rehome my labradoodle. This is not a decision I am making easily. He is a 7-year old male named Dusty Boots, who is roughly 60 lbs. He is a little anxious - doesn't like being left alone, doesn't do well in storms, etc. He also has recently started drinking any and all water left out (even resorting to trying to drink out of the toilets, so I am having to keep all bathroom doors closed) to the point he will end up throwing up shortly afterward most of the time. So, I've had to start only offering small amounts of water throughout the day to keep him from 'over drinking'. Other than being around his 'sister', he really hasn't been around many other dogs, so I really don't know how he would do around other dogs. He has never been around a cat, but I don't think he would do well around them based on how he barks at stray cats he sees outside in the yard occasionally. He has done ok around the grandkids, but does not like them to be in his face at all or pull on him in any way. Because of the expense of food, vet visits, and grooming, I feel I can no longer keep him. I have a female doodle I would prefer to rehome with him as he has never been without her, but I understand if this is not possible.
