Meet Maybelle - 8 Years Young and So Much Love to Give! 8 years old | 14 lbs | Fully vetted | Microchipped Maybelle is one of the sweetest little girls you could ever meet! After spending years being used for breeding, she is finally getting a chance to experience what life should really be about - love, comfort, walks, and being someone's special companion. Originally from Africa, Maybelle has the most beautiful and unusual blue eye that makes her even more special! Despite spending much of her life in a cage, Maybelle absolutely LOVES going for walks! It is wonderful to see her discovering the little pleasures in life that most dogs take for granted. She is currently fostered with her sister Tink, an adorable Parti Yorkie who is also available for adoption. Both girls are crate trained, sleep comfortably in their crates, and get along beautifully with other dogs and cats. Wouldn't it be wonderful if these two girls could stay together? We would love to see Maybelle and Tink adopted together, but we understand that not everyone can adopt two dogs. They can be adopted separately. A Little About Their Medical Care Both girls came to our rescue needing veterinary attention. They are now fully vetted, microchipped, and have had extensive dental procedures, including the removal of many teeth. Maybelle's veterinary bill alone exceeded $1,600! As a small rescue that receives no grants, adoption fees help us recover some of these expenses and continue saving other dogs. Adoption Fees: Maybelle: $1,200 Adopt Maybelle and Tink together: $950 each ($1,900 total) Please remember that their major veterinary work has already been completed, including their dentals. These procedures can be very expensive if you have to pay for them yourself! With their current veterinary care completed, you should not expect to need another routine veterinary visit for approximately one year, although unexpected medical needs can always arise. A Few Important Adoption Guidelines For the safety and well-being of our dogs, we do not adopt to families with young children. We generally do not adopt out of state, although exceptional circumstances may be considered. We appreciate your understanding. Our goal is always to find the right forever home for every dog. Maybelle is only 8 years young and has so many wonderful years of love left to give! She has already spent enough time making puppies for someone else.
