About Foxy

Meet Foxy! ��%BD��%BD|S Foxy is an approximately 3-year-old, 45-lb spayed Siberian Husky/Pit Bull mix with one blue eye, one amber eye, and a huge personality. Foxy is affectionate, goofy, intelligent, playful, energetic, and extremely people-oriented. She loves cuddling, treats, exploring, water, and running around with her signature zoomies. She knows several commands and responds well to positive-reinforcement training. She has been wonderful with the children she has met and loves attention from people. Foxy does have significant separation anxiety. When left alone, she may bark, howl, whine, or become destructive, so she needs an experienced and patient adopter who is home frequently and willing to continue working on her separation anxiety. She currently has veterinarian-prescribed medication for anxiety. Foxy can also be leash-reactive toward unfamiliar medium and large dogs. She may fixate, bark, or lunge while on leash, but she has NO known bite history and has successfully played with compatible dogs, including dogs around her own size. Any introductions to other pets should be slow and supervised. Foxy is being rehomed because her separation-related behavior resulted in her no longer being permitted in her current housing, not because she is unloved. She is deeply loved, and finding a safe, stable home that understands her needs is extremely important. Her ideal home will provide plenty of companionship, exercise, enrichment, structure, patience, and continued positive-reinforcement training. She is a hilarious, affectionate girl with so much love to give the right person.
