About Rosie

Adoption Fee: $160
Corgi
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Meet Rosie! A whole lot of Corgi packed into 40 lbs! Rosie is a 3-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi with a sweet personality and a little extra fluff around the middle. She's currently working on her figure and has about 10 lbs she'd like to lose. No crash diets, just fewer snacks and more adventures! Rosie is potty trained, crate trained, uses a dog door, walks nicely on a leash, and rides well in the car. She loves playing fetch and enjoys spending time with her people. Rosie would do best as the only dog in the home. She has experienced some friction with other dogs in her previous home, and she's not particularly comfortable sharing her space with them. We think she might be able to coexist with the right dog, but an only-dog home is what we'd recommend. She hasn't been around young children, so older, respectful kids would be best. A little Corgi knowledge goes a long way with this girl! Pembroke Welsh Corgis are intelligent, active, herding dogs. They are clever, sometimes stubborn, and often convinced they are much bigger than their short legs suggest. They need more than a quick walk around the block. Mental stimulation, training, playtime, and regular exercise are important to keep those busy Corgi brains happy. They also tend to be enthusiastic communicators and can be quite opinionated! Rosie needs someone who understands the breed and appreciates all the personality that comes with it. She's a lovely girl who has a lot to offer the right home. If you've been looking for a Corgi companion and have room in your heart (and on your couch) for Rosie, we'd love to hear from you! %90%BE Adoption Info: All of our animals are fully vetted, which includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, deworming, heartworm testing and treatment if necessary, current flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipping prior to adoption. To start the adoption process, please fill out our application here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/WAG/Dog Please note: The dog you're applying for may already have a meet-and-greet scheduled or have been offered to another rescue within our network.
