Hailey has a loving personality when alone with us inside our home, but since a previous hit and run accident 3 years ago she now suffers from PTSD. Hailey will need to be in a rural environment with plenty of space to run and expend her energy. We used to live in such an area but now live in an over 55 community that does not allow her to be off leash. Our home is close to the road and walkways and Hailey has a hard time with delivery vehicles and larger box trucks/work trucks. Since her accident being hit by a delivery truck, she is overly excited and pulls hard to get towards any like vehicle and we fear she will break our hold and get hit. She needs a family with understanding of her PTSD behavior and are willing to be patient with her. She doesn't like fireworks or thunder either, she's acts like a war veteran who may have similar dislikes of loud noises. She loves playing catch and tug a war. She needs attention and exercise to thrive. We are too old and don't possess the strength any longer to keep her under control. So if you have space and plenty of patience Hailey would love you and be a great addition to your family.
