Hi my name is Freya (aka Glenda)! I'm a mature, calm girl estimated at maybe 5-6 years old, last weighed in at 41 lbs and am as sweet as they come! I appear to be a hound mix, possibly with mountain cur or another brindle breed. I was found in rural Florida with a wound on my shoulder and was fortunate to make my way to Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue for care. I healed beautifully and was adopted out to a loving home 4 years ago, but they had to surrender me due to a relocation. Here's how my previous adopter describes me: Freya is a very well-mannered, loving dog. She has always gotten along with every person she's interacted with and does very well with both dogs and cats. She loves to snuggle with people and other pets and really enjoys being around them. She gets excited for walks, but her overall demeanor at home is very calm and laid-back. When I was surrendered back, I had a an unresolved skin condition that was resulting in fur loss and discomfort. My rescue has helped me recover from that condition and resolved my skin issues with a fish based food, specific supplement that should be continued (less than $50 per month), and periodic medicated baths with a non-prescription shampoo. My rescue says I'm now ready to find a new forever family! I'm so very excited for this next chapter in my life in a comfy, safe home with people who love me. My $150 adoption fee includes vet check, spay, microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm test (negative) and microchip. If you are interested in giving me the wonderful home I long for, please visit www.gofar.dog and complete an adoption application.
