Vanderbilt is currently at Habersham County Animal Shelter in Georgia and needs a FOSTER or ADOPTER to secure his spot on the transport to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on Saturday, November 14, 2026. A committed home is needed for him to make the trip, and we're hopeful the right person is out there! Meet Vanderbilt Vanderbilt is a 6-month-old Boxer mix weighing about 45 pounds, and he's already a big boy with plenty of growing left to do! This goofy, lovable puppy is sure to keep his family smiling. He came into the shelter as a stray and has quickly become a staff favorite thanks to his fun personality and sweet nature. Vanderbilt is a big baby who loves making friends and does great in playgroups with other dogs. He would make a wonderful addition to a home with another friendly pup. He's also curious about cats, but has not shown any aggression toward them. With proper introductions, he will likely do well in a home with cats. Like any growing puppy, Vanderbilt still has some learning to do! His potty and crate training are unknown, and he is currently working on his leash manners. He will need a family willing to continue teaching him the basics with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. He is good with kids and would love a family to grow up with.
