Mando is the smartest dog we've ever owned. He potties in one area of our yard, is crate trained like a champion and knows the basics - sit, down, place, etc. He loves to play fetch and flirt poles are his favorite. We've started working on agility training and some other specialty commands. He rarely barks and is extremely food motivated. We are rehoming because of our kids and our lack of experience with this breed. We thought we would learn and be a good fit and we just aren't. While we are very active, we aren't aren't able to give him what he needs. He does not destroy things when unfulfilled, but regresses to nipping/herding. He has never been aggressive, but we are not able to handle his nipping especially as he gets older. We've had him for 8 months and shared some great days together, but it is time for us to let him go to someone better equipped. Based on research (now), he is a very typical ACD. He might do well with other dogs. Recall isn't solid; with his energy we were hesitant to introduce. He would be a DREAM for someone experienced with this breed or with no kids.
