About Sugar

Sugar wants a person she can trust and a yard to explore. Once she feels connected, she seeks out her people for affection and likes knowing where they are. She needs a calm, patient adopter who is comfortable handling a strong bully-breed dog and will give her time to settle in. Sugar is about 3 and a half years old, weighs 59 pounds and is spayed. She is house trained, comfortable in her crate and heartworm negative. Older children are the best fit. She needs a home without cats or other small animals. Her compatibility with dogs is still uncertain; any introductions need thoughtful, controlled support. Sugar can bark and grumble when a leash appears or it is time to come inside. She needs steady, compassionate handling and gradual trust building. She is fostered in Memphis, Tennessee.
