About Flicka

Flicka loves food, cuddles, fetch, tug and a good swim. This playful mixed-breed girl is about 15 months old and 42 pounds. The breed label is a visual estimate. She is spayed, housetrained and crate trained. She enjoys enrichment toys and is working with a positive-reinforcement trainer on her manners and leash skills. Flicka needs an active home with a fully fenced yard and people who will keep helping her build confidence. She can be nervous with strangers at home, alerts to unfamiliar sounds and can feel overwhelmed in noisy or crowded spaces. Calm introductions and a predictable routine help her. She has done well with cats and with dogs after proper introductions in neutral places. Dogs her size or larger would be the best canine companions, or she could be an only dog. Older children are preferred. Flicka is currently fostered in Memphis, Tennessee. May Hitaj is coordinating inquiries from Saint Marys and surrounding Pennsylvania communities. Contact Team Memphis Rescue & Support to discuss Flicka and meeting or transport arrangements. Adoption fee: $350.
