About Ava

Ava is a gentle girl who is learning how good life in a home can be. She enjoys quiet company, relaxing in the grass and discovering that treats are worth a try. She is a nearly 2-year-old mixed-breed dog, about 57 pounds, spayed and housetrained. The breed label is a visual estimate. She is comfortable in her crate and has completed heartworm treatment; the rescue can explain any follow-up care. Ava can be shy around new experiences and loud sounds. She needs a patient adopter who will give her time to settle in and build confidence. Her record lists her as good with dogs. Her foster thinks respectful older children could suit her, but child and cat compatibility should be discussed with the rescue. Ava is currently fostered in Memphis, Tennessee. May Hitaj is coordinating inquiries from Saint Marys and surrounding Pennsylvania communities. Contact Team Memphis Rescue & Support to discuss Ava, meeting and transport arrangements. Adoption fee: $350.
