About Gordo or Rick

URGENT: SEPARATION TRAUMA IS KILLING GORDO aka RICK, ID: A2772143) Miami-Dade Animal Services (MDAS) Gordo is his original name. Miami Dade changed it ti RICK w same ID numbat(3yo Terrier mix) and his mom Lily/Coco were surrendered to MDAS after their owner tragically passed away. They lost their human, and then the shelter made it worse: THEY SEPARATED THEM. Mom was pulled by a rescue, leaving her son Gordo behind. Now, Gordo is completely shut down, terrified, and grieving. The shelter has him in isolation where no visitors can see him. The shelter will kill him Nov 1. Gordo isn't a naturally aggressive dog- he is heartbroken and traumatized. He needs an experienced foster/rescue who can help him w behavioral issues related to grieving as well as the fact that he never learned to socialize w other dogs because his whole world was his mom. PLEASE PLEASE HELP HIM! He's three years old. His mom Lily is five and is without her son at the Humane Society of Miami. His emotional trauma must be huge, poor darling.
