A committed home is needed for her to make the trip, and we're hopeful the right person is out there! Meet Avani Avani is a 6-month-old Lab/Curr mix weighing about 23 pounds. She came to the shelter as an owner surrender along with her sister, who has already made it to Wisconsin with Mutt Life! Avani came from a difficult situation and is now hoping for a fresh start and a family who will show her how wonderful life can be. Avani is a sweet, friendly girl who can be a little shy in the shelter. We believe she will come out of her shell once she is in a loving home and has time to settle in. She has the cutest little underbite that gives her an adorable toothy smile! It's hard not to fall in love with that sweet face. Avani gets along well with other dogs and would especially benefit from having a friendly, confident canine companion to show her the ropes and help her build confidence. She will likely do well with cats and kids with proper introductions. Avani has likely never experienced all the routines of living in a home, so she will need patience and guidance as she learns the basics. Potty training, crate training, and leash manners will all be new things for her to work on. With consistency, encouragement, and a little love, we know she has so much potential!
