Tonks is up to date on all of her vaccinations, in great health and has so much love to give. She is exceptionally sweet, affectionate, and loves to snuggle. She would make a wonderful companion for someone who is elderly, a retired couple, someone who lives alone or doesn't get out much, or even a small family with NO plans to get another pet. She absolutely loves everyone (children especially). She would be the perfect friend to keep someone company, offer endless cuddles, and bring warmth and love into their home. Tonks would need to be the only pet in the household so she can truly be the queen of the castle and soak up all the love and attention for herself. We have been struggling with issues of her marking her territory for well over a year. We have worked closely with our vet and tried every option and recommendation we've been given. Initially, we were told that she might be lonely and need a friend as this issue began after we returned home from an unexpected trip due to my mother-in-law's sudden passing. It was the first time she was ever alone for an extended period of time (minus daily check ins from our neighbor). On the vet's recommendation, we welcomed another cat into our home as Tonks previously coexisted with our other (now passed) cat Harleigh. Unfortunately, this only amplified the issue rather than helping it. After exhausting the many options available to us, we feel that Tonks would be happiest in a home where she can be the one and only pet, without the stress of sharing her space with other animals. Our biggest hope is to find Tonks a loving, patient person who will give her a chance and let her be the queen she was always meant to be.
