Looking for a very special home for Calcifer %9D%A4%8F Unfortunately, I'm looking to find a new home for my six-year-old neutered male cat, Calcifer. Calcifer is a very smart, curious, adventurous, and incredibly talkative boy. He loves exploring and going outside on his halter, and he has a big personality. He's also affectionate in his own way. He sleeps in bed with me and loves curling up in my lap when there's a soft blanket involved. Calcifer is a cat who very much likes things on his own terms. He gets overstimulated easily and has specific boundaries when it comes to being handled. He prefers not to be petted below the neck and may bite or scratch if those boundaries aren't respected. He's best suited to someone who understands feline body language, is patient, and appreciates a cat with an independent personality. His ideal home: - No other cats or dogs. He needs to be the only pet. - Someone patient who understands cats that become overstimulated easily. - Someone who will respect his boundaries and let him initiate affection. - An indoor home with opportunities for safe outdoor exploration on a halter. Health: Calcifer is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and recently had bloodwork and a urinalysis, both of which were normal. He previously experienced urinary issues but has been doing well since switching to Hill's c/d urinary food. He does require sedation for veterinary visits due to his difficulty with handling. He will come with his two cat trees, hammock, beds, food, treats, halter, and other belongings so he can have familiar things in his new home. I'm asking a $150 rehoming fee, with the goal of finding a responsible, loving, and permanent home. This is not a decision I've made lightly. I love Calcifer and want to find someone who will appreciate his personality, understand his needs, and give him the patience and environment where he can thrive.
