Gus is a 5-year-old Shepherd mix weighing approximately 55-60 pounds. He is a very sweet and loving boy who enjoys being around his people without being clingy. He's perfectly happy to relax in the same room with you and keep you company. Gus has done well with young children, including a neighbor and nephew around 3-4 years old, and he especially enjoys spending time with older kids. He gets along well with female dogs and submissive dogs and is also comfortable around cats. However, he is not a good match for a home with chickens or rabbits. Gus is house-trained and walks well on a leash. His off-leash recall is unreliable, so he should remain on a leash or in a securely fenced area unless his recall improves with additional training. He is a very smart dog who may thrive with continued training and consistency. An active and healthy boy, Gus loves hiking, camping, and going for walks. He rides well in the car and would make a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys outdoor adventures but also appreciates a dog who is happy to relax at home. Gus would love a home where he can be part of the family, enjoy some adventures, and spend plenty of time simply being with his people. Gus's adoption fee is $350 and includes his vaccines, dewormers, neuter and microchip. Need to be within 10 hour drive of Boise/Twin Falls.
