About Jasper

Jasper A757965 1 Year Old Male Labrador Retriever German Shepherd Mix URGENT Needs Rescue By 11/06/26 Jasper was adopted in April as a puppy and surrendered back to the shelter 6 months later for having too much energy and being destructive when left alone. After being surrendered his family informed the shelter Jasper was involved in a bite incident to the child in the home, which occurred a month after his original adoption resulting in a single small puncture to the child's forehead. Jasper is described as a sociable, people-friendly dog who is easy to handle and comfortable with a variety of handlers and environments. Jasper knows basic cues including sit, shake, and down, and is reported to be housebroken. He does show some prey drive toward squirrels and small wildlife. Due to the disclosed bite incident to a child Jasper now has a short timeline to find a home through adoption or rescue, requiring placement by end of day Friday November 6th 2026.
