Birdy has been a perfect family companion for the last year, but we need to rehome her urgently due to her beginning to show reactive behavior towards our youngest son who is too unpredictable and rough around her. I don't think it's her fault, I think she is just vocalizing her boundaries, but I want to keep both him and her safe. She is such a well behaved affectionate sweet heart who just wants to be near you and snuggle up. She is completely non destructive, has good door manners, lets you give baths, trim her paws, clean her ears and brush her teeth absolutely no problem. She can be a big leash puller especially when we pass other dogs, but she's only 36 pounds and responds well to positive reinforcement and heels when told. She knows place, stay, recal, leave it, and sits patiently for her food until told to 'break'. She loves a car ride and wants nothing more than to sleep in your arms. Her downsides are that she is heartworm positive, very insistent on being a lap dog which can be frustrating when you want space, and she is very mouthy. But otherwise she's truly an angel!
