About Amara

Amara is ~6yo and 74lbs. Sweet and low energy level. Can be left alone at home but prefers to be with her humans. Satisfied with ~30 min combo of running like fetch and sniffing around. No significant health issues though she tends to be anxious. We've worked on her socialization and basic training. We picked her up as a short term foster through an overcrowded shelter that euthanized for space (she was a stray). This turned into long term fostering and then adoption with the intent to re-home when the shelter sought to send her to Miranda's Rescue (Google it). We're having a baby and moving in with family, and unfortunately cannot bring Amara. She's done well with kids but would do best with older kids. She's been good with dogs off leash but is socially awkward. Might be able to live with a dog that respects her space. An ideal home would be a house in a quiet neighborhood with a yard or proximity to a spacious area. Needs someone who will continue her socialization and training.
