DEVON - MY GIRL, AND ONE VERY SPECIAL SWEETHEART Devon is a beautiful 3-4-year-old, 50-pound Staffordshire Terrier mix, and I honestly don't know how anyone could meet this girl and not fall completely in love with her. She is the definition of a chill dog. Devon walks beautifully on leash with absolutely NO pulling. She simply strolls right beside you like she has nowhere else she'd rather be. She takes treats so incredibly gently, and she is just the sweetest, most tender soul. She's also dog-friendly, cat-friendly, kid-friendly, and farm-animal friendly. She's housebroken, spayed, current on her shots, and has been a wonderful houseguest. But there's something you need to know about Devon. She is scared. She hates being here so much that she was hurting herself trying to get out of her kennel, so she had to be moved to a different area. Seeing a dog this sweet so frightened breaks your heart. Because of everything she has been through, Devon's full personality doesn't come out here. She's shy and cautious, and you can see her trying to figure out whether the world is finally going to be kind to her. But when she feels safe? That sweet girl starts to shine. There's a happy, silly, loving dog underneath all that fear. She loves people and has such a beautiful soul. She just needs someone willing to be patient enough to let her discover that she is finally safe. A few things about Devon: 3-4 years old, About 50 pounds, Staffordshire Terrier mix, Housebroken, Spayed & up to date on shots, Dog, cat, kid & farm-animal friendly, Amazing, easy leash walker, Takes treats incredibly gently, Gentle & observant, No beds or stuffies-she prefers to keep those destroyed. Kennel potty habits can be hit or miss. Devon doesn't need a perfect home. She needs a patient home. A quiet place where she can decompress. Someone who won't expect her to instantly become confident. Someone who will let her take her time, show her what kindness feels like, and celebrate every little bit of her personality that starts to emerge. Because I truly believe there is an incredible dog waiting to come out of her shell. My girl deserves the absolute BEST. She has spent enough time being afraid. Now she deserves to know what it feels like to be safe, loved, and home.
