Winter is an eager-to-please, delightfully goofy pup who is chatty, expressive, and full of signature 'woo-woos.' He strikes a wonderful balance between playful outdoor energy and affectionate indoor downtime. During the day, he loves chasing a frisbee, playing tug-of-war, or basking in warm sunbeams, while his favorite evening routine is curling up on the couch to snuggle with his humans. He is a polite housemate who sticks strictly to his own bones and toys rather than furniture, and he knows a strong lineup of both basic and advanced commands that we are happy to share. He can use a crate when necessary, though he prefers resting outside of one. He currently lives peacefully alongside two cats, and while he will playfully chase them on occasion, catching them results in nothing more than a gentle nose poke. Winter genuinely loves other dogs and does wonderfully with them off-leash, though he experiences barrier frustration and becomes vocally reactive on a leash when he cannot immediately run over to greet them. An active household with a yard where he can stretch his legs and play fetch would be ideal for his energy level. With a toddler in our home and another baby on the way, we have made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to rehome Winter simply because his excitability and high energy are not the right fit for young children. While he has lived sately with our toddler and has never bitten anyone, he has developed leash reactivity toward unfamiliar little kids. Because of this, he will truly thrive in an adult-only home or one with older children ages 10 and up. Winter is neutered, fully up to date on all annual vet visits and vaccinations, and in excellent health with no medical concerns. He will make an intensely loyal, loving, and entertaining companion for the right family.
