%90%BE WELCOME ALTHEA %90%BE Sometimes a dog comes into your life carrying a story that simply isn't yours to tell. Meet Althea, a beautiful 3 yr old white Poodle who came to me after a trusted friend reached out with a very special ASK, a girl that needed somewhere safe to land. Her circumstances are deeply sensitive, and her past will remain private. And truthfully, even if we could share it, I'm not sure we would. Because the worst chapter of her life should never become her identity. %9D%A4%8F I chose the name Althea, a name associated with wholesome and healing and it couldn't be more fitting. And oh, the personality this girl was hiding %A4 She's found her voice, loves to run, and has made two wonderful best friends, Herschel and Walker Texas Ranger. %90%BE She's also discovering that dog food is actually delicious, especially when foster momma adds all sorts of goodies on top. %9D%A4%8F And affection? Althea doesn't just want to be NEAR her people. She wants to be IN YOUR LAP. Apparently, nobody told this full sized Poodle she's not a tiny lap dog. %A4 I envision her thriving in a quieter, more introverted household, surrounded by patience, affection, and understanding. Perhaps even with a family connected to social work or advocacy, or children who might benefit from the quiet companionship of a gentle soul. There's something beautiful about watching a dog discover that life can be good. That meals can be delicious. That friendships can be fun. That running simply because you can is worth celebrating. And that a human lap might just be the greatest invention of all. We cannot change what came before her, but we can help make what comes next extraordinary. Her past deserves privacy. Her future deserves possibility. Welcome to your new life Althea. You are so loved%90%BE Special consideration for service dog work. Working with children, autism, special needs. She would flourish in service
