The shelter is CRITICALLY over-capacity, meaning it is euthanizing good doggies due to lack of space!!! Which dogs are chosen is a crapshoot, but owner surrenders, such as Brando are at increased risk to be chosen. Brando arrived at the shelter on Sept. 16th with a girl Husky 'sibling', from the same household (she already got adopted, he is still waiting for his special someone), is about 5 years old. Brando is reported to be sad being left at the shelter, no longer with his family and separated from his doggie 'sister', since is quiet in his kennel, almost always is lying down in it, with his head held low, not demanding anything. Will sit for the right treats and smiles when given praise, friendly, sweet, and takes treats gently, but does take time to warm up to new people, which is quite normal, especially for heartbroken doggies. Very lonely boy! Besides having lived with a female Husky, also has 2 leash tests while at the shelter, somewhat timid (with male and female doggies). Brando recently had entropion surgery to correct his eyelid from rolling in, all fixed. PLEASE email to arrange to meet this very good, but somewhat timid boy, heartbroken boy! Can also be fostered, besides adopted. Adoption fee is waived, is already neutered. If want to see other wonderful dogs, who are also in great need of finding a loving home, even additional Huskies-not all listed, scroll down & click on, 'Chicago Animal Care and Control', left-hand side. Come. Please.
