Roxy is a radiant bundle of sunshine. This 2 yr old girl has the brightest spirit, the biggest heart, and so much love to give! She is a remarkable dog who has the ability to make everyone around her happy simply by being herself. Abandoned as a baby, and then almost euthanized in a shelter due to a lack of kennel space, Roxy's start in life was riddled with uncertainty, but she is resilient, and has never let any of that hold her back from becoming a super friendly, social butterfly who adores attention. She is engaging, silly, loves to play, and will happily be your sidekick on any adventures. She has a softer side too; she is sweet, gentle, and loving. She will lean in for kisses and peacefully snuggle by your side. Though she enjoys kids, very small children may not be the best fit, as Roxy does need continued training in some areas, namely not jumping up when excited, and loose leash skills. She is very smart, eager to learn, praise and food motivated, however, so training should not present much of a challenge. She is already fully house trained, crate trained, and is working on leash skills. Though I adopted Roxy to save her from euthanasia at the shelter, I am unable keep her myself, as I have another dog with severe behavioral issues. My intention has been to take care of Roxy as long as necessary until I can find her perfect home. She is currently in foster care, and I am open to transporting Roxy to a loving adopter, regardless of location. After all she has been through, Roxy deserves to find her person, the best match I can find for her, no matter where that may be. Roxy is a really special dog. All she needs now is what she has been waIting for her whole life - someone kind to take her 'home', to show her that she is special, that she will be protected and loved and cherished for the rest of her life. I promise when she finds this, she will offer the same in return tenfold.
