About Paula - Sweet & Shy

Meet this beautiful girl! At approximately 1 year old and recently weighed in at 40lbs, she appears to be a Black Mouth Cur/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix (best guess), and she's looking for a patient, loving person to help her continue to blossom. She and her brother arrived when they were just 3 months old, both extremely scared and shy. Since then, with the love, patience and time of our resident trainer, staff and volunteers, she has made wonderful progress coming out of her shell! Watching her grow more confident has been so rewarding, and we know she has so much more potential! A little about this sweet girl: * Very friendly with other dogs * Learning to walk on a leash * Keeps her kennel clean * Growing more confident every day * Needs a patient adopter who will let her blossom at her own pace This girl may not be the dog who runs up to everyone right away, but she has already shown us what love and patience can do. She needs someone willing to give her time to feel safe, build trust, and discover that the world can be a wonderful place. Her perfect home: A calm, understanding family who will celebrate the little victories, provide positive encouragement, and help her become the confident, social dog she is capable of being.
