About Rufus

'Rufus' is a 2 to 3 yr. old Neapolitan Mastiff/Cane Corso mix. Abandoned outside a dog boarding facility 8 months ago, 'Rufus' is cared for by kennel staff. This handsome boy is looking for his permanent fur-ever home! When it's time for his daily 15 mins. of playtime, he rambunctiously gallops directly from his kennel to the designated grassy area. After releasing some energy he's a gentle giant happy to chill under a tree in the shade. Rufus does like to stand on his hind legs and put his paws on the shoulders of an unfamiliar human to say 'hello!' so his manners need some work. An experienced dog family is needed for 'Rufus'. While he can 'sit' on command his leash walking needs practice. It is believed that he may have been mistreated in his past so a meet-and-greet is essential.
