About Priya

Meet Priya Priya arrived in Wisconsin on October 24 with Mutt Life Dog Rescue and is settling into her foster home. She is a sweet young pup who is still getting comfortable in her new surroundings and is looking for a loving forever family! Priya is about 6 months old, weighs around 28 pounds, and is expected to be a medium-sized dog, likely around 40-50 pounds when fully grown. She was surrendered to a shelter in Georgia through no fault of her own as an unwanted puppy alongside her sibling. Despite this difficult start, Priya is getting a fresh start in Wisconsin and is beginning to learn all about living in a home with her foster family. She is on the shyer side after arriving on transport, but she is making progress and working on building confidence through new experiences and gentle exposure. Like many puppies her age, Priya is still learning the basics. She is working on potty training, crate training, leash manners, and all the other skills that come with being a young dog. She will benefit from patience, consistency, positive reinforcement, and a family willing to help her explore the world at her own pace. With time, love, and encouragement, Priya has so much potential to blossom into a wonderful companion!
