We have a beautiful male corgi who's five years old named Cannoli that we sadly, and desperately need placed to only the best of homes. We have had him for about a year and a half. A young family member got him as a pup, but he has behavioral issues that are common to corgis and when she had a baby, she couldn't handle him anymore The good: He's beautiful He is a purebred blue marl corgi and was bought from a reputable breeder when he was a puppy He's healthy He's up-to-date on all his shots He's neutered He has great recall will come when called and will sit on command He loves his treats He's cute and funny with that very strong corgi personality He will sleep with you and nap with you He's very, very smart and has the propensity to be quite perfect with someone who has the ability to devote time and attention training him He will sit on your lap and cuddle with you He tolerates other dogs and cats and horses and bunnies He loves car rides, walkies, his stuffies, and going on adventures He loves to play with you, especially tug of war The not so good: Let me not mince words, he will bite and is aggressive in that herding dog corgi way. He has been allowed to get away with bad corgi behavior his entire life. He resource guards, food, his home, and treats. He attacks your feet when you leave. He will bite you if you try to take something from him without switching out to something better. He probably needs to be an only dog to someone who works from home or is retired and can help keep his corgi -ness in check. I truly believe he absolutely can change, but we bit off more than we could chew when we agreed to take him in and he pushed our female rescue dog too far a couple days ago and almost went over the rainbow bridge So this is an emergent dangerous situation and we need placement ASAP. We weren't supposed to keep him. We were supposed to just offer a place for him to go until family member could find placement for him. However, that's not happened and he's been with us for about a year and a half
