About Dexter

(DOB 07/16/2025) Dexter is a a sweet, little bit of a shy guy who just needs a little time to blossom into the big ol' goofy lovebug hiding inside! Once he warms up, he's all about kisses, belly rubs, toys, and being close to his people. He's playful, affectionate, a little clumsy, and may just become your new Velcro buddy! Dexter is a young, energetic boy who loves tug-of-war, squeaky toys, stuffed toys, chew toys, car rides, and playing with other dogs. He's good with kids and larger dogs and would love a big pup sibling who can keep up with his wrestling moves! He's also happy being your one-and-only, as long as his family gives him plenty of playtime, exercise, and attention. A fenced yard (around 5 feet or taller) is a must for this zoomie enthusiast! Dexter is still learning his manners, including leash walking (those scurrying critters are just SO exciting!) and keeping his paws off the kitchen counters. He's smart and treat-motivated, so with consistency, patience, and continued training, he's sure to make wonderful progress. He does like chasing cats, so any feline friends should be dog-savvy, with slow, proper introductions. Dexter is still a puppy in a big-boy body, learning how to navigate the world while bringing plenty of goofy fun along for the ride. Give him the guidance, activity, and love he needs, and you'll have one very happy, very silly, very devoted best friend! As part of Dexter's $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
