Meet Luna - A Big Girl with a Big Personality! ��%90%BE Location: Hershey, PA DOB: 10/2/2021 If you love a girl with a goofy personality, a mind of her own, and a whole lot of love to give, you need to meet Luna! Luna is a smart, playful, affectionate girl who likes to think she's in charge. She has the classic Great Dane lean down to an art, especially when you ask her to do something she'd rather not do! She may even talk back to let you know exactly how she feels. ���� One of her favorite ways to greet you is with a toy in her mouth while trying to talk around it. Her silly antics and expressive personality are sure to keep you smiling. Luna loves to run, play, explore, and enjoy the great outdoors. Games like keep-away and 'come get me' are right up her alley, and she can really move when she gets going! She also enjoys walks, car rides, and spending time with her favorite people. But beneath that big, independent personality is a girl who loves cuddles, pets, and being close to the people she trusts. If you have room for a big snuggle buddy, Luna might just be your girl. Luna is looking for a special home that understands her need for space, consistency, and patience. She can be protective of her food, water, toys, and resting areas, and she appreciates having her boundaries respected. She will need an experienced, committed adopter who can provide calm, consistent guidance and safely manage her resource guarding. She is still working on housebreaking, leash manners, recall, and feeling comfortable in a crate. She can also become anxious when left alone for long periods, so a home where someone is around often would be a wonderful fit. Luna currently lives with other dogs. She enjoys playing and wrestling with her young Golden Retriever housemate, but she does not get along with her older male dog, as they both struggle over resources and control. She may do well with a compatible female dog who respects her boundaries, but any canine introduction would need to be thoughtful and carefully managed. Her compatibility with cats is unknown. Because of her size and resource guarding, a home with teenagers or older children is recommended. Luna has done well meeting adult visitors and enjoys the extra attention, pets, and opportunity to show off her excellent watchdog skills! Luna may act like she expects to be in trouble, but with time, patience, and kindness, her softer side begins to shine. She needs a person who will see beyond her strong-willed exterior and help her feel safe, understood, and loved. Her dream home? A place with room to stretch her legs, people who appreciate her big personality, consistent boundaries, and plenty of affection. Bonus points if she can snuggle up beside you-or even share your bed!
