%BD%BDs%BD UPDATE ON JAX - BACK AVAILABLE! %BD%BDs%BD If you are willing to help foster please reach out with a dm. We have an update regarding our boy Jax. While his prospective family reported that he is an absolute gentleman on the road (laying right down in the back seat and traveling like a pro!), it unfortunately turned out that his personality wasn't the right match for their senior resident dog. They shared how much they loved him and confirmed he is wonderful overall-plus, he's already shown he knows how to sit, lay down, and give paw on command (or rather, big dog time!). He just needs a home where he can be the star of the show. Because of this, Jax is officially back up for adoption and heading back to his foster home! At this time, we are looking for a home where he will be an only pup for the time being so he can have the proper time and space to decompress and adjust. If you were next in line or interested in giving Jax the loving, single-pet environment he needs, please DM us or comment below to schedule a time to meet him! %BD%BD%90%BE%BD%9D%A4%BD%BD%8F Urgent: 150-lb Gentle Giant Needs an Experienced, Large Breed-Savvy Home (Albany/Capital Region, NY) %BD%BD%90%BE We are looking for a very specific, solid forever home for Jax, a magnificent 3-year-old, 150-pound Mastiff mix. He recently lost his owner-a friend who recently passed away suddenly. We stepped in to foster him for the family in order to keep him safe and help him find the right fit, but with a newborn in the house, a 14-year-old, and an anxious senior dog who is terrified of his size, it's just not working out. He's simply too big, clumsy, and easily overstimulated for our current household dynamic. Here is the breakdown: * The Good: He is an absolute sweetheart who is deeply affectionate, house-broken, leash-trained, and does wonderfully one-on-one with adults. He appears to be good with older kids, grew up around chickens, and has previously lived successfully with another giant breed (a Cane Corso). * The Challenges: While he is leash-trained, at 150 pounds, his sheer size and strength still mean he is a handful if he decides to pull. He also lacks proper structure and doesn't currently know/follow standard obedience commands. Due to his massive size, younger kids would likely not be a good fit, as he could easily and unintentionally knock them over. * Ideal Match: He desperately needs a large breed-savvy adopter or foster who understands giant working breeds, knows how to handle a powerful dog, and is ready to put in the time for confident, positive training. We want to honor his late owner by making sure he lands in a home that genuinely understands and loves this breed. If you have giant-breed experience and the space for him, we'd love to find his new forever home as soon as possible. Please share and help us get this boy his perfect match.
