About Sassafras

Please prepare to provide the following information to the staff about you, your family, the city in which you live, other pets, your fenced yard, and whatever else will help identify your family as a good match. You are encouraged to call the shelter for updated information and availability, and to answer your specific questions. Meet Sassafras, (turquoise collar) just like her sister Saffron, Sassafras is a 6-month-old, 50-lb female who is absolute perfection wrapped in a beautiful, short coat. Sassafras is also navigating the big, wide world for the first time and needs a patient leader to help her learn how to be a dog in the real world. Everyday experiences (from meeting new people to discovering what toys are for) are brand new to her. She can be a little curious, a little silly, and a whole lot of sweet as she figures out how to navigate neighborhood strolls and household routine. She's met new dogs here and has lived with other dogs and has done well. She's just a silly pup looking for a family to teach her the world isn't such a scary place. She's fixed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date on parasite preventatives. She is $185 to bring home! If you are interested, please call the shelter at (541) 474-5458. You can view more adoptable pets at www.jocoshelter.com/adoptions . Walk-ins are welcome, however we highly recommend calling first to check on availability and location (some animals may be offsite or unavailable). Appointments are recommended to reduce wait times, especially for dogs. Thank you!
