- Breed: Mini Labradoodle - Age: 5 years old - Weight: 57 lbs - Status: Spayed, house-trained, and kennel-trained About Ruby: Ruby is a gorgeous, girl with a stunning red-colored coat. She loves belly rubs, long walks, and is deeply bonded with her people. She is fully house-trained and even bell-trained to ring a bell at the door when she needs to go outside! She also sleeps soundly in her kennel at night. Ruby knows the commands for sit and shake, and is currently working on mastering stay and heel. While her potty habits are perfect, her overall manners are still a work-in-progress, and she thrives with clear boundaries. Why She Needs a New Home: Recently, Ruby has shown escalating resource-guarding behaviors (specifically guarding food, bones, and human attention) and unfortunately had a serious conflict with our other dog. Because her guarding is triggered by the presence of another animal, we have made the difficult and loving decision to rehome her so she no longer feels the need to compete. The Ideal Home: -.Only pet in the home so she can fully relax. - An adult-only home or a household with older, dog-savvy teens. - An experienced handler who understands canine body language and can safely manage resource guarding. - A low-traffic environment where her owner can confidently advocate for her space, as she is reactive to both dogs and new people. - Someone with a calm, structured routine who is willing to continue positive-reinforcement training around her manners and leash work.
