Pippin is a 2-year-old rottweiler mix with a very sweet and playful spirit. He weighs 65 lbs. but is on the shorter side for his weight with a long body. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines and flea/tick prevention. He is high energy and would thrive in a home with lots of activity and patience for training. He loves cuddles, belly rubs, giving kisses, long walks and chewing on sticks and toys. He's very treat- and food-motivated and eager to please. He was adopted from the shelter as a stray so his history is unknown. He's on gabapentin and trazodone as needed for anxiety. He warms up quickly to people and enjoys socializing with other dogs in a comfortable setting. He would be happiest in a home with other%A0dogs. Reason for rehoming: Pippin struggles with separation anxiety, and he's wary of strangers and often reactive to unknown people and dogs, usually when they are walking toward or are too close to him. He is dearly loved but unfortunately his support needs are beyond owners' capacity due to our own health conditions and disabilities. We have been caring for him to the best of their ability for 5 months and simply cannot any longer. Do you or does someone you know have space and capacity in your home for a young, high-energy pup in need of lots of love and training?
