MEET ZIGGY - 9 POUNDS OF PURE SWEETNESS! Ziggy is approximately 7-8 years old, weighs just 9 pounds, and we believe he may be a Pug mix. This sweet little gentleman absolutely LOVES going for walks and spending time outdoors! He enjoys exploring, sniffing around, and taking in everything around him. A home with a nice, securely fenced yard would be ideal. What makes Ziggy special? - He loves people and is friendly with everyone he meets. - He gets along with dogs and cats. - He loves his daily walks and outdoor adventures. - He's a sweet little companion who enjoys being around people. A few things his future family should know: Ziggy becomes extremely nervous during car rides and will cry throughout the trip. Car travel is clearly stressful for him, so he'll need a patient, understanding family who won't expect him to be an enthusiastic travel companion. Ziggy's Medical Journey When we rescued Ziggy, he had a large mass near his rectum that required surgery. Pathology confirmed a low-grade perianal gland carcinoma, a type of cancer. The encouraging news is that the mass was removed with clear surgical margins, no vascular invasion was observed, and this type of cancer has a low risk of spreading. Ziggy has also been neutered and had his dental work completed. Since his surgery, it takes Ziggy approximately five minutes to finish having a bowel movement. He just needs someone willing to give him that extra time outdoors without rushing him. Ziggy isn't perfect, but who is? He may not enjoy car rides, and he may take a little longer to do his business, but neither of those things takes away from what a wonderful companion he can be. Ziggy deserves a loving, stable home where he can enjoy his walks, explore a safe yard, and spend his days with people who appreciate him. Could Ziggy be your new best friend?
