About Pepper

'Pepper.' Shepherd/Heeler Mix, Male. 1 yrs old, 45 lbs PEPPER! Okay, I'm going to try really hard not to gush over this dog, but OH MY GOODNESS! I am absolutely obsessed with him! Pepper is one of the most intelligent, intuitive dogs I've encountered in a long time. He's BRILLIANT! It's almost like he looks right through you and into your soul. He's incredibly tuned in to his person, constantly watching and waiting for cues. I swear this boy could qualify for MENSA! He's not particularly fond of the leash just yet, so he needs some work getting comfortable with it. But here's what's fascinating. He doesn't tug or pull. He walks right beside you, looking up at you the entire time, almost as though someone has taught him to heel and watch for commands. It's remarkable! He's calm, gentle, affectionate, incredibly well-mannered, and knows sit. He's also a bit of a treat snob. Only the finest snacks for this distinguished gentleman! Pepper tests beautifully with other dogs. He's polite, respectful, and easygoing. If another dog gets pushy or rude in his face, he may offer a little corrective growl, which is perfectly appropriate doggy communication. Otherwise, he's a complete gentleman. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this boy. He's sweet, loving, remarkably calm, and has this extraordinary ability to connect with you. He's not bouncing off the walls or demanding attention. He's simply watching, listening, and taking everything in. Other than needing to get comfortable with the leash, he's practically TURNKEY READY! Someone is going to hit the absolute jackpot with Pepper.
