(willing to drive up to 2 hours). 2 Y/O FEMALE AKC REGISTERED GSD (DOB: 6/27/24). Her name is 'Rebel'. Background: Current Shepherd Parent has had Rebel for approximately 1.5 years after rescuing her from a doggie daycare that was about to surrender her to a shelter. Rebel had previously been abandoned by her former person at the doggie daycare. UTD on shots WITHOUT record. Fixed. Good with kids. Rebel is wonderful with children and has been described as an amazing family dog. Good with dogs in public, but NOT good living with other dogs. Rebel is territorial and jealous and has been attacking the other female GSD in her current home. She needs to be the ONLY DOG in the household. Good with cats. Also does amazing with goats, sheep, and chickens. Rebel has excellent herding instincts and does amazing around these animals. House trained. Crate trained. Any known medical issues?: No known medical issues, but does have Separation Anxiety. Abuse/Neglect/Trauma History?: Yes. Rebel was abandoned by her previous person at a doggie daycare before being rescued by her Current Shepherd Parent. ENERGY LEVEL: Medium. PREY DRIVE LEVEL: Low. Weighs 65 lbs. Currently on food: Gusto Select Essentials Beef Meal and Brown Rice Recipe. Good with car rides?: Yes. Socialized with: *people?: Yes. *dogs?: Yes. Rebel does beautifully with dogs in public but is not compatible with living with other dogs due to territorial and jealous behaviors. Good with meeting new people? (ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION!): Yes. Loves: Chuck It balls, running outside, car rides, pup cups, herding, hiking, bubbles, being sprayed with the water hose, cuddling, walks, chilling on the couch, playing with kids, balls, fetch, sleeping in bed with her person, being near her person, rope toys, treats, and string cheese. Rebel can be a little picky about treats! *Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?: This breed is super intelligent. *Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH): Yes. *Good on a Leash?: Yes. *Lovable?: This breed is super lovable once they claim you as their person/family. *Eager and fast learner?: This breed is super fast learners when they are being committed to and worked with. Although she does beautifully with dogs in public, she is territorial and jealous when living with other dogs. For everyone's safety and well-being, Rebel needs to be the ONLY DOG in her new home. She is an amazing, loyal, intelligent girl who deserves a family that can give her the attention she deserves without the stress of living with another dog. If you love the outdoors and want a companion who will go on adventures with you, Rebel could be your girl! She will be a great companion for the right person.
