Let Little Trixy Be Your Halloween Treat! Looking for a little sweetness without all the tricks? Meet Trixy, a tiny 6-pound bundle of love who is ready to put a little magic into someone's life! This adorable 2-1/2-year-old Chihuahua/Yorkshire Terrier mix may be small enough to fit in your trick-or-treat bag, but she has a whole lot of love to give. Trixy came to Fur Fun Rescue when her previous owner experienced a life change and could no longer care for her three Chihuahuas. Now this little treat is hoping to find a forever home where she can feel safe, loved, and cherished. Trixy is a very sweet and loving girl, but she needs a little time to settle into a new environment. After all, when you weigh only 6 pounds, the world can seem like a pretty big and scary place! Once she realizes you are gentle and kind, though, she bonds quickly with her people. Before long, you'll have a tiny shadow following you from room to room, hoping to stay close enough to touch. Talk about a little love bug! Trixy is accustomed to living with other small dogs and gets along well with them. However, larger dogs over 25 pounds make her nervous, so she would do best in a home without big canine companions. She is also good with cats-even though many of them outweigh her! Now that Trixy is comfortable in her foster home, her playful side is beginning to emerge. She has discovered dog toys and enjoys playing with them, especially when her favorite humans join in the fun. She is also becoming more adventurous and curious about the world around her. One of her favorite activities is watching the neighborhood from her special perch by the window. And here's a little bonus for those who prefer peace and quiet: unlike many Chihuahuas, Trixy doesn't bark at every leaf that blows by. She is a wonderfully quiet little girl! Trixy does need a secure, physically fenced area where she can safely play and take care of her business. She isn't accustomed to walking on a leash, so a fenced yard is important for her safety and comfort. Trixy is housetrained, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. All she needs now is a loving home where she can continue to blossom and share her sweet little personality. This Halloween, you could bring home the sweetest treat of all!
