About Ruby

At 3.1 years and 47 pounds, my past may be a bit of a mystery since I came into the shelter as a stray, but I may have been through some tough times. Because of that, I'm not a fan of people reaching over my head, especially when a slip lead is involved. The good news is that I'm working on building confidence and learning that the world can be a kind place! I tend to feel more comfortable around women, as men can be a little scary for me. But once I choose you as one of my trusted people, get ready for lots of love, affection, and loyalty! I can't get enough cuddles and attention from the people I trust. I'm also housebroken, energetic in a silly, wiggly kind of way, and eager to learn. I LOVE treats, so training should be a fun experience for both of us! I'm looking for a patient, understanding family who will let me build trust at my own pace and show me that I'm finally safe.
