Meet Moby & Clementine! A bonded mother-and-son duo looking for a loving forever home - together! Hello! We're Moby and Clementine, a mother-and-son pair searching for a new family. Unfortunately, our dad is facing the loss of our home and has made the heartbreaking decision to find us a new one. He loves us dearly but wants to ensure we have a safe, stable future rather than risk losing the ability to choose where we end up. **We're a package deal!** Staying together is nonnegotiable. We'll bring plenty of toys, food, crates, bowls, leashes, and other belongings to help us settle in. All we ask is a loving home with the attention and care we deserve! We've lived with cats and other dogs without issues and have interacted positively with children of all ages in public, although we've never lived with children. Introductions to unfamiliar animals and children should always be supervised. We're both cooperative with baths, medicine, and routine care when handled patiently. Once we trust someone, we're generally easygoing companions! Meet Moby! Age: 6 years | Birthday: August 30 Weight: Approximately 86 lbs Breed: 50% American Akita, mixed with Labrador Retriever, American Staffordshire Terrier, Mastiff, and Husky Neutered: No Hello! I'm Moby! I'm an affectionate, playful boy who doesn't realize how big I am. At 86 pounds, I'll still happily climb into your lap! I'll almost always greet you carrying a favorite toy, and sometimes I get so excited that I try giving hugs. I'll also sneak kisses whenever possible! I'm intelligent, athletic, curious, and always eager to make friends. I'm especially talented at catching toys and treats out of the air. I'm crate trained and know my routine. Sometimes I get into mischief when left unattended, but when Dad grabs his keys, I know it's time to settle into my crate. I love companionship and regularly check on my people, but I'm also independent enough to entertain myself when they're busy. I have a wonderful sense of humor, inherited from both my mom and dad, and I've never failed to make my friends laugh! If you're looking for a big, affectionate, intelligent, slightly mischievous best friend who greets you with toys and makes you smile, I'm your boy! Meet Clementine! Age: 7 years | Birthday: October 3 Breed: American Akita Spayed: Yes Hello! I'm Clementine! I'm a proud, independent lady who appreciates her personal space. However, if you have plenty of pets to offer, I'll happily cuddle beside you. Just know that when you're out of pets, I'm out! I love lounging wherever I find comfortable: cold tile floors, soft couches, or bizarre positions that make Dad wonder how I could possibly be comfortable. I'm also a very chatty girl, which is somewhat unusual for an Akita! I have something to say about everything: morning greetings, walks, visitors, and whatever else is happening. If you don't understand me the first time, just ask! I'll happily repeat myself. I can be especially loud when greeting new friends, but it's simply my enthusiastic way of expressing affection. I absolutely adore squeaky toys and can entertain myself for ages with one. Chew toys and bones are also favorites. I'm generally more trustworthy than my son when left unattended, but I love my crate and often relax inside even when everyone is home. I appreciate having my own space! I'm usually pretty lazy, but occasionally surprise everyone with a burst of playful energy. Dad particularly loves these moments! If you're looking for a beautiful, affectionate, independent, opinionated companion with plenty of personality, I'd love to meet you! Important information Bonded pair: We MUST be adopted together. Other animals: We've successfully lived with cats and dogs. New introductions require supervision. Children: We've done well interacting with children in public but have never lived with them. Training: We're both crate trained and comfortable with household routines. Handling: We're generally cooperative with bathing, medication, and routine care. Medical: Clementine is spayed; Moby is intact. Our vaccinations are currently out of date and will need updating. Help us find our next chapter! %9D%A4%8F Our dad has loved us through many chapters of his life. We've moved together, grown together, and kept each other company through difficult times. Rehoming us is not a decision he's making lightly. He wants us to enjoy a stable, comfortable life with people who have the time, space, and resources to care for us. We have so much love, laughter, companionship, and personality to offer! **We're looking for one loving home that will welcome BOTH of us and keep us together.** If you're interested in adopting us, know someone who might be a good fit, or work with a reputable rescue that could help, please reach out! Please share our story! With lots of love (and probably a few squeaky toys), Moby & Clementine %90%BE
