About Austin-URGENT, HELP!!!

The shelter is critically over-capacity, meaning it is euthanizing good doggies due to lack of space!!! It is a crapshoot which dogs are chosen. Pure bred Shepherds are not adoptable through the shelter, Chicago Animal Care and Control, can only go through a rescue org, so harder to get out to safety, since the rescue orgs. need fosters (can be fostered or foster to adopt through a rescue org). The following info. about timid, but good boy Austin is from the rescue org: Is 2 years old, came in as a lost dog. He is a little more reserved and nervous when you first grab him from his kennel, but he does warm up, just takes him a little time. Austin takes treats gently and loves food, not really interested in toys. No issues with handling other than him being nervous to start. Did well with another dog.
